Justifiably proud of this, the company makes it known that it is the top European importer of Akoya pearls. More- over, the Italian company is also trading Australian and Tahitian loose and stranded pearls. An interview with Francesco ­Cozzolino and his son Raimondo who are both at the helm of the family business. Mr Cozzolino, draw us a picture of your typical Baselworld customer. Mostly they are jewellery manufacturers taking part in the salon as exhibitors. Rarely retailers, because our strategy is that of import, pure and simple. We stopped setting pearls to focus exclusively on the needs of our wholesale and manu- facturer customers, who find we offer a wide range at the best prices. If that’s the case, how do you manage it?
