White diamonds, moreover, also showed a rising trend. These results confirm just how successful our strategy – specialising in coloured diamonds – is and has been since the early 1990s, when requests for classic coloured gems like rubies, emeralds and sapphires slowed down.” In point of fact, this is the field of gems that are purchased not only for their beauty, but also as investments, as a ­buffer in times of recession like those currently affecting the market.
