Selection Stones and Pearls

This family-run company, which celebrated its 60th anniversary last year, uses state-of-the-art machinery to cut a broad range of gemstones and high- end ceramics, as well as providing these with various different surface structures. Stones for rings and cufflinks, cabochons, drops, cylinders, beads, stripes, fancy forms, inlays, milling, drilling, laser engraving and much more besides are all created here in the firm’s workshop, which is even being extended this year. Naturally, specific individual requests are also addressed and realised in large series. For goldsmiths and jewellers looking for something out of the ordinary, there is an extensive collection of custom and one- off cuts: flowers and leaves, hearts, fancy engravings and animal motifs are produced in masterful craftsmanship. New additions to the range include agate owls in which the natural, crystalline surface of the mother stone has been retained. Also new are scarab beetles made from various opaque or translucent gemstones, which find a multitude of uses in jewellery creation or as talismans in their own right. Own gemstone jewellery pieces are also created in the workshops at Gebrüder Kuhn. One particular speciality is jewel- lery pendulums, consisting of a cone and a cabochon made from different materials and an 18-karat ring in yellow or white gold, set with diamonds. m a x i m u m p r e c i s i o n w i t h e v e r y c u t Kuhn GmbH & Co.
