K . “I love the vibrant green of the leaves on the trees against the clear, blue sky or the deep, warm red of a sunset, those are the colours of nature where I come from,” says Heike Faller, “and I find those colours concentrated in rubies, sapphires and emeralds. That’s why I love these stones so much.” Heike Faller and her husband, Dr Konrad Henn, run the company Karl Faller, which specialises in the three “kings of the gemstones.” These continue to be in great demand and the natural resources are very limited. However, thanks to excellent contacts with mine operators in the countries of origin themselves, Karl Faller frequently succeeds in gaining preferential access to exclusive raw materials, enabling it to satisfy nearly all customer requests. In the company’s own cutting workshop, the rough stones undergo all of the stages to become perfect gemstones: they are cut by master craftsmen until each facet reflects the glorious colours of nature that Heike Faller loves so much. There is also a special service: the stones can be set on request. This not only saves time, but the customer also avoids the risk of breaking the stone. And although Karl Faller focuses on rubies, sapphires and emeralds, it also offers other exciting coloured stones, such as tanzanite, mandarin garnet and spinels in its range.
