Its circular, gold-plated, stainless steel case comes with a matching linked brace- let and boasts a bezel set with Swarovski crystals. This sparkling ring surrounds a classically designed dial with indexes and two Arabic numer- als. A quartz movement reliably keeps time inside the case which, with dimensions of 32 mm in diameter and 8 mm in height, is predestined to grace slimmer feminine wrists. The new collection offers several options for the materials of the wristbands and cases. CEO Christopher Bitterli shares news about the company and its products. BWDN: Revue Thommen’s 19th- century origins are well known among watch lovers. Please tell us what’s happening today. Christopher Bitterli: We established a new company – the GT Thommen Watch AG – with Swiss investors and new headquarters in Hong Kong. First of all, we want to strengthen our distribution network in Asia and the USA. Afterwards, we’ll increase Revue Thommen’s presence in Europe and the Middle East. What major debuts is Revue Thommen spotlighting at BASEL- WORLD this year? We’re highlighting our Revue Thom- men manufacture movements, which are strongly appreciated by our worldwide clientele, and we’re also augmenting our famous Air- speed line. What about Grovana? Grovana continues to produce watches with excellent quality and fair prices. “Your time is our tradi- tion” is Grovana’s new mission state- ment. It underscores the brand’s strengths and our commitment to launch new watches with a pure, clear designs. BWDN: What are your principal goals for 2013? We intend to further expand our glo- bal distribution network. We acquired many new customers, also in Switzerland, during the past two years. This clientele strongly appre- ciates the ability to cooperate with a flexible and completely independent family business. We plan to intro- duce our new models for 2013 short- ly after BASELWORLD. BWDN: Grovana has been part of BASELWORLD for over forty years. What do you expect at this all-new show in 2013? Grovana has invested plenty of money, energy and effort to tell a completely new and successful sto- ry at BASELWORLD in 2013. We expect many new potential custom- ers to visit our stand, where they’ll feel the spirit of our company. It’s important not only to offer a fruitful partnership, but also for both par- ticipating parties to live their part- nership. chocolate brown and trendy red.
